Sprinkle a 3 to 4 lb. brisket or rump roast with garlic powder before placing in a marinate of:

1 can beef consomme

1/2 bottle soy sauce

1 1/2 tbs. liquid smoke

1 1/2 tbs. lemon juice (Fresh from Florida!!!)

No need to use salt, there’s plenty in the marinate. Cover tightly with foil, refrigerate overnight. Turn meat once while marinating.

Cook in a 250* oven for about 5 hours. If there are any leftovers it makes great sandwiches.
